About the Event

Merseyside Queer Hikers are gearing up for their first hike of 2026 - a challenging hike through Taxal and Fernilee Reservoir! They'll be starting the hike at 12pm from the hike starting point on Buxton Road. A few hikers will be travelling from Liverpool Central train station on the 9:20am train, which will get you into Whaley Bridge Station around 11:30am. Give Merseyside Queer Hikers a DM to let them know you're coming, either via the RSVP button or via this link.

Access

This is a moderately challenging trail with a couple of steep descents and one steep ascent, a stile, several gates and a few flights of steps. After rain some sections through the woodland could be muddy and some field sections are boggy due to being churned by livestock.
