About the Event
Southport Bijou Cinema are kicking off a week of screenings to celebrate Sefton Pride with the queer classic "The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" (1994), about two drag queens and a transgender woman travelling across the Australian desert in a tour bus to take their cabaret show to a remote town, with them meeting plenty of interesting characters along the way.
Accessibility
Southport Bijou Cinema is now fully accessible for all persons regardless of mobility status. The Bijou has two toilets on the ground floor, including a disabled bathroom. There is a small step to enter the building, though ramps are available at the entrance. The upstairs function area and gendered toilets are accessible by lift.
