Sat 24 Jan
|Quaker Meeting House
Join Queer The Page for a queer writers workshop - and whilst they are a bit early for Valentines day, lets celebrate it, rant against it, or reclaim it.

Time & Location
24 Jan 2026, 13:00 – 15:00
Quaker Meeting House, 22 School Ln, Liverpool L1 3BT, UK
About the Event
Merseyside LGBTQ "Queer The Page" Group is a safer-space writing group specifically for LGBTQ people over 18, who meet on the fourth Saturday of each month to discuss and critique each other's writing (though this month's session has been moved to the third Saturday to avoid clashing with Liverpool Pride). This month's workshop theme is about writing queerly/otherwise in a style that mirrors content by workshop facilitator and experienced writer Carrier. Note: to join this workshop, bring along a short piece of your writing (up to three minutes long and in any genre) suitable for reading aloud and which doesn’t include content that needs a trigger warning (see the list of specific triggers to avoid below). This piece should themed around "memory" - e.g. childhood memories generally, coming out as LGBTQ+, any life-stage(memoir/autobiog/auto-fiction), memory of an incident in a character's life etc.
