Join Merseyside Queer Hikers for their 7th hike of the year - and this is a hike with a difference. This month, the hikers will be joined by their friends at the Liverpool Women's Book Group as they take on the infamous Wirral Walk - to raise money to celebrate the life of local community activist and LGBT+ rights advocate, Claire Stevens. For those of you who don’t know, Claire has quietly done much for the Liverpool queer community over many years. She has worked on healthcare projects, worked with survivors of sexual abuse, and was a proud activist for the LGBT+ community for decades. Claire’s work was invaluable and a shining example of what giving yourself wholeheartedly to community means. Sadly, Claire lost her battle with cancer in June and now Liverpool Women's Book Group are raising money to fund Claire’s last project - funding Train the Trainer for The Survivors Trust.
