About the Event
LGBT Foundation are delighted to be hosting Queer Places for a hands-on creative workshop exploring Liverpool’s rich and often hidden LGBTQ+ heritage. Drawing on research and stories from www.queerplaces.co.uk, you'll delve into Liverpool’s historic queer spaces - from the bars and cruising grounds to community spaces, helplines and homes.
Through collage, memory mapping, and placard-making, the group will reflect on the places that have shaped your own queer journeys and imagine the queer spaces you would like to see in the future. Using copies of archival materials, drawing, and doodling, you’ll celebrate personal and collective queer memories while making space for new stories to emerge.
No art experience needed – just bring your memories, imagination, and curiosity. All materials provided. As always the session will include tea, coffee and cake.
